The multi-talented Todd McFarlane started out in 1984 as an artist for Marvel/Epic Comics. There, he found great success and eventually left to help found Image Comics with several other artists. The debut of his character creation Spawn in 1992 was a phenomenal success, selling 1.7 million copies, which was almost unheard of in the world of independent comic books. To maintain creative control over his own character, Todd founded McFarlane Toys, which was to become one of the most successful toy companies worldwide. Besides his own McFarlane figures, he's carried licensors such as KISS, Shrek, Austin Powers, Akira, the Beatles, Army of Darkness, Jaws, Alien, Predator, AC/DC and many, many more.
