InterMountain is pleased to announce, in cooperation with Centralia Car Shops, the completely assembled and decorated Pennsylania P85bR Keystone Herald Passenger Car.
The Prototype
Pennsylvania RR took delivery of these 44-seat long-distance coaches starting in 1947. These 85-foot cars rode on four-wheel 2D-P15 trucks. Cars built by American Car & Foundry were numbered in the 4068-4091 series. A number of virtually identical cars were built by the Pennsy's Altoona shops and were numbered 4100-4169.
The Model
This HO scale car is not just your typical model. From it's highly detailed underframe (each Z-brace is a separate piece!), complete underbody detail, and the newly tooled metal 2D-P15 trucks - to the detailed body (complete with a readable trust plate!) this is one of the finest models ever produced.
These completely assembled cars feature:
Complete underbody detail
Kadee #26 couplers
Die-cast metal trucks with 36" metal wheelsets
Individual wire handrails
Aluminum window trim
Proper weight for reliable operation
Twelve different road numbers!
Laser-sharp paint and accurate Pennsylvania RR lettering
Note: This car is recommended for use on curves of 26" radius or more
